Before I started working with Sylvia, I wasn’t disciplined in my eating habits. I knew there were areas to improve upon, but didn’t know how to go about achieving my goals. Since we began working together, I have learned new ways to make healthier foods more appealing to me so that I can make better choices in regard to my diet. Sylvia helped me better understand my menstrual cycle and how that can impact my lifestyle choices, including my eating and sleep schedules. Before I signed up for coaching I had some pretty unhealthy habits. I ate chocolate every day, and had take-out quite often. I was overweight, and workouts were tough to get through, especially some body weight exercises. Though I knew that eating chocolate is not healthy, I actually thought I had a decent diet otherwise. I now know I didn’t get enough protein or vegetables in my diet. I never thought I would be able to quit eating chocolate, and I didn’t have to. Sylvia recognized how much I really enjoy chocolate, and was able to fit it into my routine. I’m now able to enjoy it in a much healthier way. Another thing that really has changed my journey is learning intermittent fasting. I’m able to safely switch between shorter and longer fasts, and I’m never weak or light headed. I’m looking forward to seeing all the other benefits that fasting can provide. I’m not at my goal yet, but I’m definitely making tremendous progress. I’ve lost weight, my clothes fit better, my workouts are getting easier, and I’m much more conscious about what I eat.
